It's November already!

On November 3rd, we had a National Universities Fair at Collège Sturgeon Heights Collegiate, universities from across Canada participated in this event. Our international students got a lot of useful information from this fair.

Santa Claus Parade this year was on November 12! It was definitely the nicest weather you can imagine for Santa Claus Parade. We saw over 100 floats and probably half the population of Winnipeg! Very exciting and fun!

November 17 we had the MCIE (Manitoba Council for International Education) Reception at the Manitoba Legislative Building. Our international students were volunteering at this event. So proud of them!

On the same night, we went to the Student Night at the Opera, Manitoba Opera put on a great show of Falstaff.

 This year winter came really late. November 21 we finally had our official first snow of the season. Let's celebrate Winnipeg Winter! 

November 25 we had no class at school. So we went to Winnipeg Art Gallery and spent our afternoon there to enjoy some art!

Happy Halloween!

Halloween is always the funnest! Students are involved in this special day with their homestay families and schools!

We visited Canadian Museum for Human Rights on a free admission night, amazed by the museum itself and the stories behind it!

September 2016

The very first month of a whole new school year, we met new friends from different countries and had fun!

Had ice cream at Sargent Sundae, before it gets too cold!

At Assiniboine Park Zoo, saw some polar bears!

Canadian Cooking and Living Workshop! We cooked our own pasta and made chocolate chipped cookies!

At Investors Group Field and watched a Blue Bombers game!

It's May Already?!

This semester has been flying by!  Our students have been so great and involved in the activities program, we're having a blast with them!  We've done some really fun things since February like visiting the Canadian Museum of Human Rights, volunteering, attending a Manitoba Moose Ice Hockey Game, visiting the Forks when the Stanley Cup was in town and all sorts of other fun things. 

...we learned how to cook a family style dinner in a Canadian home...

...and here we were volunteering at Winnipeg Harvest, sorting potatoes was a lot of work!

The Manitoba Moose game was a lot of fun!

 And so was getting pictures with the Stanley Cup at the Forks!

We laughed so hard we cried at the High School Improv show as part of the Winnipeg Comedy Festival...

...And saw some pretty crazy basketball skills on display when the Harlem Globetrotters were in town.

Our last event in April was a really fun night at The Real Escape!  Students had to work together to solve puzzles and escape after the bank heist!  Can't wait to see what May brings!
